Submit Manuscript

Authors ready to submit a manuscript to AJIST should use the Asian Journal of Information Science and Technology (AJIST) online submission system. Before beginning, review the Aims and Scope, AJIST Author Guidelines, Publication Ethics, and Peer Review Process so that the submission is complete and suitable for editorial assessment.

1. Before You Submit

  • Confirm that the manuscript fits the AJIST Aims and Scope.
  • Confirm that the work is original and is not under consideration by another journal.
  • Ensure that every listed author has approved the manuscript and agreed to its submission.
  • Disclose relevant prior publications, preprints, conference abstracts, datasets, or closely related manuscripts when they may affect assessment of originality or overlap.
  • Prepare all applicable authorship, ethics, funding, competing-interest, data-availability, and Generative AI declarations.

2. Files and Information to Prepare

  • Microsoft Word manuscript prepared according to the AJIST Author Guidelines.
  • Title-page information: manuscript title, author names, affiliations, and corresponding-author details.
  • An anonymised manuscript file where required for double-blind peer review.
  • Abstract and 3-8 keywords.
  • Tables and figures with titles or captions and in-text citations.
  • Supplementary material where applicable.
  • Complete references in APA style, including DOI information where available.
  • Required declarations and supporting ethics approval or registration information where applicable.

3. Online Submission Process

Use the AJIST online submission portal to create or access your account and begin a submission.

  • 1. Log in or register on the AJIST submission system.
  • 2. Start a new submission and complete the required submission steps.
  • 3. Enter manuscript metadata and author information accurately.
  • 4. Upload the manuscript and all required supplementary files.
  • 5. Complete the submission checklist and required declarations.
  • 6. Review all information carefully and submit the manuscript for editorial assessment.

4. After Submission

The editorial office performs administrative and initial editorial checks. A submission may be returned for completion or clarification, declined at the editorial stage, or sent for external double-blind peer review when suitable. External review is normally conducted by independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

5. Submission Fee and Article Processing Charge

AJIST does not charge a manuscript submission fee. The Article Processing Charge, where applicable, is requested only after editorial acceptance following peer review. Current fees, waiver or discount eligibility, and refund conditions are published on the Article Processing Charges & Waivers page. Authors should not make payment before an official acceptance communication and APC request from the journal.

After acceptance, the author(s) or other lawful copyright holder must complete the AJIST Copyright Form. The published Version of Record is made available as Gold Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Licence. Full terms are explained in the Copyright & Licensing Policy.

7. Researcher Identification and Metadata

Where the submission system provides the option, authors may supply an ORCID iD to help distinguish researcher identities and improve the accuracy of scholarly metadata. Learn more from ORCID.

8. Editorial Office

For manuscript-submission questions, contact the AJIST editorial office at editorial@crijournals.org or use the AJIST Contact page.

Important Submission Notice

Submitting a manuscript does not guarantee external peer review, acceptance, or publication. Authors should rely on the current AJIST website for requirements, fees, and policies because these may be updated.
