Asian Journal of Information Science and Technology (AJIST) is a biannual, double-blind peer-reviewed, gold open-access journal established in 2011 and published by the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI), Coimbatore, India. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and case studies in information science, information systems, digital libraries, knowledge organization, information retrieval, scholarly communication, and related emerging technologies. AJIST is intended for an international readership of researchers, academics, librarians, information professionals, and practitioners.

All manuscripts submitted to AJIST undergo editorial screening followed, where appropriate, by double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Special issues, invited papers, and any supplementary content are subject to the same editorial oversight, peer-review standards, and publication-ethics requirements as regular submissions.
 

Abstracting and Indexing
Asian Journal of Information Science and Technology is indexed in J-Gate, Google Scholar, EBSCO Information Services, Engineering Source, Library and Information Science Source, One Belt One Road Reference Source, Scilit, CrossRef, Library of Congress, WorldCat, and Scite.

Previously, it was on the UGC Approved list of Journals (No. 41149).

Journal Ethics
AJIST is committed to publication ethics and malpractice prevention in line with COPE-aligned editorial practice. The journal’s ethics framework covers authorship and contributorship, conflicts of interest, complaints and appeals, data sharing and reproducibility, ethical oversight, intellectual property, and post-publication corrections, retractions, and discussions. Open Access Publication
AJIST provides immediate and permanent open access to all published content on the journal website. Readers may access, read, download, and share articles free of charge, without subscription or pay-per-view barriers, subject to the terms of the journal’s licence.
 

Creative Commons Licensing 
AJIST is an open-access journal, and all published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows users to read, download, copy, and share the published work for non-commercial purposes, provided that proper credit is given to the original author(s) and the journal. However, the content may not be modified, adapted, or used to create derivative works without prior permission.

Repository Policy 
Authors may deposit submitted, accepted, and published versions of their articles in institutional or other repositories in accordance with the journal’s repository policy. Journal content is preserved through the PKP Preservation Network to support long-term digital preservation and continued access.

Copyright of Published Material
Authors retain copyright in their work. As a condition of publication, authors grant the publisher a non-exclusive licence to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and identify AJIST as the original publisher. Copyright ownership, licensing, and reuse terms should be stated consistently in the author guidelines, on article webpages, and in published article files.

Plagiarism
AJIST takes reasonable steps to identify and address research and publication misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate submission, redundant publication, citation manipulation, image manipulation, data falsification, and fabrication. Allegations are assessed according to the journal’s ethics procedures and relevant COPE guidance.
